Brain Cancer?

I'm doing a cancer research project and need information on brain cancer.

1. What are some causes?

2. Is it hereditary?

3. What sort of treatments are there available?

4. What are the chances of getting this type?

5. Who would normally get this type of cancer?

6. What are the stages of this type? (If there are any)

Thank you for your help! Any information to any question is helpful!

Reply:my husband had a grade 4 malignant medullablastoma. it affects about 7 people in the uk a year and they are usually boys aged 3-7years old. my husband got it at 25 years old. he had weekly vincristine chemo for 6 weeks and daily radiothereapy down his head and spine for 6.5 weeks. he now has scans every 6 months and checks every 3 months but is doing fantastically and i'm really proud of him. nobody knows what causes this cancer, it is too rare to be hereditary, i've listed his treatment, the chances of getting this cancer are less than the chances of winning the lottery, unlucky people get it and all cancers have 4 stages... grade1-4. grade 1 being the best you could hope for. i hope you never encounter this disease.
