Cancer and electric blankets?

Ovarian cancer; can electric blankets be a large cause?

My sister would like to purchase one for my neice and she is concerned because she once read that electric blankets can cause ovarian cancer.

I researched it quite a bit but my conclusion is inconlusive.

To me i think it sounds silly. And if it was true their should be a warning on it. Because i highly doubt if many people know.

If you are able to answer providing a website/document link would be great.

Thank you so much.

Cancer and electric blankets?
The idea there is that an electric blanket gives off an electromagnetic field, and that's what some folks wants you to be concerned about, which is ludicrous. People that believe that usually also think that living under power lines is "dangerous" (it isn't*), but ironically are also likely to think that magnetic bracelets are GOOD for rheumatism!

Your own heart gives off an electrical field, as do the Sun, the Earth, and anything conductive in the Universe.

If you have electricity in your house, the whole house is generating a field that you live in. The blanket isn't going to change it that much.
Reply:Having the electric currents and radiation from the blankets can cause cancer, probably to the same degree as that of a mobile phone because it omits radiation. I would avoid the electric blanket because the studies behind the relation of electric currents, radiation and cancer are quite strong.
Reply:Maybe I'm paranoid, but sleeping on a blanket of electricity has never sat well with me. Electricity gives of electro-magnetic radiation (much like a cell phone) so it wouldn't surprise me if it was the cause of half a dozen types of cancer.
Reply:ive slept in a water bed since i was young. over 20 yrs.

im all ok lol

i think its just chinese whisper or misinformed infomation on the web theres plenty of that.
