How much more money do scientist need to find the cure for cancer and aids?

Rich people like oprah and angelina jolie have donated so much money for the research but still nothing.

How much more money do scientist need to find the cure for cancer and aids?
there is probably going to be no cure for several centuries, no matter how much money is put in....other wise if it matter on how much money believe me, bill gates, oprah and whoever would of already donated....think about it...
Reply:in 06 donations for finding the cure for cancer was 982.3 million$.. thats JUST DONATIONS!!!!!!!!
Reply:lol
Reply:????????????????????????????????????????
Reply:They've found a possible cure for aids, but there's no money in the cure, only in the medicine.
Reply:Yes, we have donated BILLIONS of dollars... and we don't have a sure-fire "cure" but, with chemo, drugs and everything we are saving so many people, even though we do have so many dying. Why donate money? Because EVERYONE has been touched by cancer, a loved one or friend. We may find the cure next week, or in a century! It's very complicated and I don't believe that even our minds can grasp the sheer complication, such as all the cells aren't the same..ect. Oh and that biker guy that says they are keeping the "cure" from us from population density, he really needs to get a life. We have TONS of land that isn't populated yet, we're way far from overflow %26gt;.%26lt;...

Oh, and I've already found the cure for aids. The condom O.o... sorry aids is a sort of "your fault" kinda thing. Except for 99.99% of people... ya know.

So, how much money? No answer.
Reply:Look man. They might already have these cures and are not sharing them.

Why? well look at it like this

When they sell chemo therapy for over a grand a bag and make a profit. Population density. They do not like people to over populate so start aids and wars to wipe out mass amounts of people all the while selling experimental drugs for profit.
Reply:A cure I don't know. That is a good question. However you may need to look at the advances in the treatment to see where the money is going. Many people are surviving many types of cancer now that at one time took lives. The same is true of aids. Many have survived 20 yrs. plus. The most recent research of genes. Where they are getting very close to isolating the rouge gene that cause certain cancer is holding a lot of hope. They now believe in the next 5 yrs or so they will be able to identify %26amp; target one type of gene. If this works chemo will not destroy the heathy cells of ones body. They will be able to destroy the cells that are causing the cancer. Search this out. Sounds promising. Maybe all that money will pay off yet.
Reply:Money will never solve the problem. In fact money is the reason why the currently known cures are not made available.

Cancer is a whole body thing - not just one type of cancer in one place. The problem with the current system of medicine is that it treats symptoms only, and never considers the cause. If you have cancer, your whole body has it, although it may show in only one place.

The solution is to go for a holistic cure, of which about 100 are available,

They are not publicised by the cancer industry, because there is no money to be made. For the same reason, they are not approved by the FDA, so even if doctors do know about them, they are not allowed to recommend them.

Reply:That's not true. My Grandmother has cancer in remission, she was taking a new drug that helps the body fight the cancer instead of poisoning it. She did great! She was never sick due to the medicine and never lost her hair. I thank God and science everyday that they saved her life!

They know a lot about cancer and what causes it. Watch in the next few years how much it will change
Reply:The FDA will not let you call it a cure BUT the answer is out there and has been since the early 70's.
Reply:Not sure. But here is some encouraging latest news:

US scientists crack entire genetic code of breast and colon cancers

Research on cancer and the genetic code looks like it may at long last produce real breakthroughs

Reply:Depends on what you would do. Would you A: continue to treat something and have residual income or B: get rid of it and not be able to treat anymore losing residual income? Now Aids is something else. Everything in "nature" has an equal opposite. Everything unnatural. Well?
Reply:They don't need any more money (though its nice not to worry about bills . . but it won't be money that delivers the answer). What we need from research scientists is stubbornness, commitment, intelligence, and possibly a whole lot of anger and disgust that such a vile disease exists.

Cracking cancers code will happen maybe from science, maybe from a desire to help humanity, or maybe from the natural desire to solve one of natures biggest mysteries.

Only time will tell.
Reply:It's hard to say, because the cost of equipment and processes go's down over time. Thats why the human genome project didn't take the projected 35 years that was expected. so 6 billion dollars invested in cancer research now may be half as effective as 3 billion invested in 5 years.

That being said. I think that following the rate of progress being made in the last decade. I would guess that cancer will be erradicated in the next 10 years, 20 at the most.
Reply:probly millonson of dollars
