Do Americans Die From Cancer More Than Any Other Nation in the World?!?

Everywhere I turn my head in the U.S, I meet someone who has cancer, has a loved one with cancer, or survived (or died).

I think the cancer rate in this country is so catastrophic, more so than any other nation in the world. I don't think even very developing countries have the cancer problems we do. Why is that? Is the food and processed junk mostly to blame? If so, why do I meet or have heard of so many "heatlhy" people (don't smoke, eat right, excecise) who have developed or died from cancer when they are still pretty young?

We put so much money (or least that's what they say) into cancer research, yet so many healthy Americans die from it every year at increasing alarming rates. Americans use sunscreen frantically, yet we die from skin cancer more than any other nation (I actually have a holistic practicing friend who says SUNSCREEN itself actually causes skin cancer).

Are Americans dying at a much younger age? It sure seems like it!

ANYBODY could get cancer. even if they're healthy.

just recently, Eric Shanteau came second at the US olympic swimming trials, but he found out he has testicular cancer. (he's going to go ahead with the Olympics, and get surgery later)

I don't know how many Americans die from cancer, but I do remember reading that more Americans survive more than any other nation because of the technology we have.

and it may not seem like other developed countries have the cancer problems we do because they have smaller populations.
Reply:I think it is due to the processed food, the junk injested, the poluting industries, the chemicals in nearly everything you use from soap to sunscreen. Statistically, the states does have the highest wordly cancer rates, while China and India are rather low for countries of their population......
