My uncle applied to take part in the next London Marathon when he was watching it last weekend. I thought that there were hundreds of serious runners who wanted to do it every year who didnt get a chance. Isnt it hard to get into without being on a waiting list for years? He randomly picked a charity- cancer research which thousands of people must want to do, with probably better reason than him. He seems to be pretty sure that he is getting in and has started to take sponser money already. Is this right?
What are the chances of getting into the London Marathon?
My m8 did it this year, he had applied for the last 6 but didnt get in.
On those odds the chance of getting in are remote, dont sponsor him yet
