I am raising money for Cancer research UK by walking four paths to the summit of Mt Snowdon In Wales within 24hrs. I would like to raise 5,000 pounds but have as yet failed to create much awareness. Any suggestions? I have a myspace account and a charity website but that is all.

Charity Fund raising- how do i create awareness?
1st advertise-TV and radio stations would jump at the chance to get info on this.
2nd-go to local churches and schools and get kids involved-usually through parent teachers associations
3rd-contact your local boy scout/girl scout troop and let them get involved
4th-go to your local businesses and try to get donations, don't be afraid to tell mcdonalds that jack in the box sponsored you and how much...
Reply:ask local shops to donate products etc and have a sale at your local hall or sports field or even do a talent contest winner wiINS? cost entry easy money for your charity
Reply:Contact all your local media - TV, radio, papers and ask them if they would do a story. Also contact the charity themselves and see if th can give you any help in raising awareness.
